Golf holiday with a difference

Golf holidays are becoming increasingly popular. Many friends, couples and families are opting to take off on a golf holiday where they can relax, un-wind and take in the scenery whilst participating in a sport they enjoy.

If you have tried your usual golf holiday and want one that is a bit different then Morocco is the place to go. There are now many direct flights from the UK to Morocco and with the added bonus of the all year round sunshine, it is of no surprise that golfing holidays in Morocco have soared over the past few years. Whereas previously the Algarve and Spain were the most popular golfing holiday destinations, Morocco is fast moving up.

Marrakech is probably the most popular Golf destination in Morocco offering something a little different to that of many of the European golfing holiday resorts. The golf courses offer a wide range of terrains for all levels of golfers and are up there with some of the best in USA or Europe.

Holidays for pets whilst you’re on vacation

When you book a holiday you may also need to consider what you are going to do with your pets. It may be that you have relatives that can look after them, but if not you may need to find alternative accommodation.

If you have a dog or cat then you could opt to put them in a pet “hotel” for the duration of your stay. Dog kennels and catteries do not have to be as basic as they used to be, some places offer the pet a holiday too, treating them to long walks, pampering and luxury bedding.

The prices for putting your pet in a kennel, cattery or hotel varies depending on the facilities they offer, but with all of them your pet must have all their vaccinations up to date. This is where many people have problems, as they forget to get the pet done and find that when it comes to their vacation, the pet has nowhere to go.

Make sure that you plan your pets holiday well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Day trips to Barmouth

If you live in Wales or the Midlands then Barmouth is a great place to go for a day trip. It takes on average about two and a half to three hours to get to from Shropshire and offers a wealth of activities to do for families. The roads do get a little windy as you come in to the valleys of Wales but the scenery is breath taking.

With its golden sandy beaches, sand dunes and pier it really is a wonderful place to holiday to and on the beach you can find activities such as donkey rides, bouncy castles and trampolines to keep the children entertained throughout the day.

If you like crab fishing then there are plenty of places to pick up a crab line and bucket and for a truly great crabbing experience you could head a few miles outside of Barmouth to Shell Island.

There are plenty of places to eat in Barmouth, although they do get booked up quickly so it is advised that you book in advance if at all possible.

All inclusive holiday packages

All inclusive holidays are a great way to go way knowing that you will have to spend little money whilst there if you wish not to. They can offer budget to luxury accommodation and cater for all types of holiday groups such as friends, families and couples.

All inclusive holidays usually include the accommodation, onsite entertainment and all of your meals. They also usually include all of your drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic (although sometimes you are restricted to their house spirits and wines).

Some people don’t like the idea of having to stay at the resort for all of their meals and then drinking in the evening but you could go out for one or two nights and eat elsewhere if that is what you wish and still probably save money. Also many of the resorts have a number of restaurants on site meaning you can try different food that is still within your all inclusive holiday package.

Finding a great couples holiday

If you’re looking to go away with your partner for a relaxing break for some together time then there are certain criteria that you need to look for to ensure you get the perfect holiday.

The first thing to do is decide what you want from a holiday, do you want a quite restful break somewhere remote and romantic? Or would you rather go somewhere with great nightlife and lots of action packed stuff to do in the day?

Most couples want a mix somewhere in between the two extremes however most couples don’t want to go somewhere that they’ll be surrounded by lots of children. The way to avoid this is to go during school term time and even consider paying a bit more to go to a resort that is couples only.

Once you have your list of criteria if you are still stuck for ideal destinations take your list along to your local travel agent and ask them for a bit of advice, the deals they offer can sometimes be quite competitive but remember always try to haggle!
