Finding a great couples holiday

If you’re looking to go away with your partner for a relaxing break for some together time then there are certain criteria that you need to look for to ensure you get the perfect holiday.

The first thing to do is decide what you want from a holiday, do you want a quite restful break somewhere remote and romantic? Or would you rather go somewhere with great nightlife and lots of action packed stuff to do in the day?

Most couples want a mix somewhere in between the two extremes however most couples don’t want to go somewhere that they’ll be surrounded by lots of children. The way to avoid this is to go during school term time and even consider paying a bit more to go to a resort that is couples only.

Once you have your list of criteria if you are still stuck for ideal destinations take your list along to your local travel agent and ask them for a bit of advice, the deals they offer can sometimes be quite competitive but remember always try to haggle!

Everyone needs a holiday now and again

Some people are not fortunately enough to be able to take a week or two off every year for a long holiday. This can be for many reasons including money, time off work or other responsibilities such as caring for a family member. Even if you cannot go on a long holiday you should try and take a few weekend breaks away from it all to recharge your batteries.

Often you do not even need to travel far to reap the benefits of a break away. Some people even book in to a hotel a few miles down the road for a few nights just to get out of their own home surroundings and relax and be looked after for a few days.

The cheapest types of holidays are camping away in a tent somewhere. This can cost as little as £10 a night and can still be a fantastic way to enjoy time together away from the daily tolls of life.

Vaccinations needed to travel abroad

Whenever you are booking or even considering booking a holiday abroad, you should always find out if you require any vaccinations. Some vaccinations have to be given over a period of time and started quite a time before you are set to travel. It can be quite hard to find out what vaccinations you require and when online, as many sites seem to say different things and if you are travelling to more than one country, it can become a bit of a mine field.

The best way to find out what vaccinations you will need for travelling is to actually contact your GP and ask them. They will have a schedule of what you need to have and when. Ideally ask them to put it in the post or email to you so a) you have it for reference and can work dates back and b) hopefully the person giving you the advice will double check what they are saying is correct if they actually have to write it down.
